ECOCREST © is a trade mark owned by the Fondazione Acquario di Genova ONLUS whose aim is to identify materials and products which respond to specific environmental requirements. The label, whose use is extended to all countries in the world, is granted by the Fondazione Acquario di Genova ONLUS to materials and products of mainly an aquatic origin, or that contribute to improve aquatic environments or to the protection of ecosystems particularly endangered. The products must derive from production systems which are carried out according to the principle of sustainable use of resources and they fully respect the law and regulation concerning the environment in force in the country of origin and the principles established by ILO/UNO for the protection of children; they might include also fair trade agreements within eco-solidarity projects.
